Oh Caroline.

Where do I even start?

Caroline is a 2019 MGP Senior Model and to understand our story, we need to go way back to the beginning.  To the consultation.  I remember being anxious for Caroline's consultation because after my super stealthy Facebook stalking, I knew ahead of time just how great she was going to be.

We get to the consultation and I have all of these ideas running around in my mind.  I knew her session, if she chose me, would be epic.  As we discussed session specifics and ideas, I slid in a comment that I was planning the 2018 destination session in Decorah and I remember just seeing both Caroline's and Susan's (Caroline's AMAZING mother) just light up.  I'm not even kidding.  Just big, happy, excited eyes.  And in that moment, we all knew we were meant to work together.

Over the next few months we planned and plotted our trip north.  And what a trip it was!

We started the first evening at the waterfalls.  It was warm out.  Mid-summer.  I figured the water would be warm too.  Nope.  It was freeeezing.  But it was so worth it!  Caroline was an absolute trooper in the freezing cold water, and you can barely tell that she almost had frostbite (only almost kidding)!

We finished the evening in town for a few more shots with plans to start first thing the next morning.

After a few attempts to find each other in an unknown town, we finally made contact and got right to work.  We had some amazing scenery and background from Caroline's session, and I am so excited to share them with you.  You have probably seen a few (ok a lot) of these on my social media throughout the last year.  I just love them all so much!

So, now for Caroline's part (from the senior spotlight).  Sorry I got rambly.  But Caroline is so awesome and I can't help it.

#sorrynotsorry

I asked Caroline what her major accomplishments were from her senior year.  She replied with, "My major accomplishments this year have been: being captain of the dance team, receiving 3rd and 5th places at State Dance, being inducted into National Honor Society, receiving silver cord, and attending Girls State as well as Rotary Youth Leadership Awards. However, what I am most proud of is my ability to handle difficult circumstances."

Throughout her high school career, Caroline has been involved in Musicals, FFA, NHS, Dance Team, Studio Royale, and Jr. Optimist Club.  To finish off her senior year, Caroline is looking forward to her final showcase for Dance Team and her graduation party!  After graduation, she is looking forward to her trip to Hawaii (JEALOUS) and working!

After graduation, Caroline plans to attend St. Mary's University in Minnesota to double major in Psychology and Human Services. While she is there, she intends on continuing to dance and volunteer.

Now that we all have a good idea of how great Caroline is, let's have a look at her portraits!

All of a sudden I am getting the urge to go back to Decorah.  Anyone else?

As you all have probably witnessed, this spot was one of my absolute favorites.  EVER.

The look Caroline gets when she sees the cutest doggo ever.

Also, it should be known that I faced my fears of heights at this moment.  It was kind of a big deal.

While out and about, Caroline and Susan told us of this wonderful little boutique in town that they often visit while up north.  So, of course we had to check it out.  And it was a perfect spot for portraits.  I was in LOVE with their little shop.  To see more, and in case you're ever in the area, check out Modish Decorah.

And that, my friends, was an experience.  This session was not one I will soon forget.

Thank you so very much, to Caroline and Susan for taking part and being willing to go along with my crazy ideas.  You two have a special place in my heart.  Caroline, I am so very excited to see where this world will take you.  You have big things in store for you.
