Senior Spotlight; Miss. Bailey | Bloomfield Iowa Photographer
Next up for MGP Senior Spotlight is Miss Bailey Harward!
Bailey is graduating this year form Davis County High School in Bloomfield, Iowa. She was involved in FFA, FEA, National Honor Society, and Student Council. She is a Class Officer, on the Yearbook Staff, on the Prom Committee, and she is a Blood Drive Coordinator. So you could basically say that she is a busy girl! When asked what she is most proud of, Bailey answered, "I am so proud of how hard I have worked to maintain my 4.02 GPA. I have made National Honor Society and am on track to graduate with high honors. I also am FFA sub-district Vice President which is super exciting and just excited about graduating in general!" She said she is so excited for her senior trip before she graduates and soaking up all of her senior lasts. I asked Bailey what she is looking forward to this summer, and she said, "I love summer because that means the fair! I am so excited to get back into the show ring and show my horse and whatever else livestock I decide to take! I will exhibit my photography and also be running for our Davis County Fair Queen. Last year I had so much fun in the Queen contest! I was 2nd runner up and I look forward to running again!" So who is up for a road trip to the Davis County Fair to check out Bailey's photography? :D After graduation, Bailey plans to attend Indian Hills to finish the degree she has already began to work on. After graduation from IHCC (which will most likely be less than 2 years) she will transfer to Buena Vista to major in Elementary Education!
Now for the fun pictures! Bailey had her session super early in 2018. I had never had a senior have her session so early, but I was totally up for it. And getting to work in a season with amazing floral blooms was TOTALLY worth it. Bailey wanted to have her session around their family farm. As you have read, you understand that agriculture is a huge part of her life, and she wanted to document that in her senior portraits. So, back in early May, I traveled down to their farm in Floris!
The blue in her shirt really made her eyes pop!
You always have to have a little fun!
Here are some of the amazing floral blooms from her session!
And the other gorgeous florals. One of my favorite sets, ever!
And a lot more of Bailey's personality shining through.
I asked Bailey what her favorite part about her session was, and she replied with, "Because I lost both my dog, Cross and my horse, Snoop this year, I love having those memories with having them there for my senior pictures! I also love the fun splashing that we did in the creek which took me back to my childhood of playing in the water!"
Thank you so much, Bailey, for letting MGP be a part of your senior year! I wish you all of the very best as you finish out the last few months of your senior year and as you go on to college! With your drive and determination, I am sure you will move mountains.
