When women support women, great things happen.

Well, when anyone supports anyone, great things happen.  Really.  Just as men do, women have this connection when interacting with each other.  We just *know* what the other woman is thinking/needing/feeling.

Owning and operating your own business in a small town is hella stressful.  There is so much background work that goes into running your small business.  And it's EXHAUSTING.

But it is SO worth it!

On National Women's Day (March 8), I decided to do a small giveaway on my Facebook page.  I had all of the entries list the woman they admire most.  If nothing else, a nod of love and admiration to another woman is like a little virtual hug.  And what woman doesn't love that?

Fellow small business owner, Emily was the winner of that giveaway! Emily owns Violet and Black Boutique.  Her boutique is female-fashion centered and SUPER fun!  I love the shirts she makes - in fact, I have an order for a shirt placed now and I am pretty excited to get it!  To check out Emily's store on Etsy, CLICK HERE!

I wanted to do a lifestyle/head shot type session for Emily.  It's always nice to have an updated head shot to use for your business, and I wanted to have some fun with it!  Thankfully Emily was up for the challenge!
