Melissa's Floral Maternity Session
Iowa's florals lasted all of 2 minutes this year. Ok, maybe it was more like a week and a half. But I am SO glad we were able to take advantage while we had them! Typically, maternity sessions are done between 30-34 weeks. In that time frame, momma is usually still in good spirits and not swelling too much yet. But this momma? She was pushing 38 weeks at her session! AND SHE LOOKS FLAWLESS! When I was 38 weeks with my girls, I looked like a giant donut. Stuffed donut. I tend to put my clients through the ringer with posing, trying different things and getting the perfect setup, and Melissa was with me every step of the way. Did I already tell you she was 38 weeks? And it was plenty warm out that evening, too! Anyways, enough babbling.. I hope you enjoy the session as much as we did!
Our first spot was actually near a lilac tree, next to a dumpster. As some of you may have seen on my Facebook page, sometimes you don't need a perfect spot to make a perfect picture! Didn't see that? CLICK HERE!
Then we went to visit one of the alleys around Sigourney! Seriously - FLAWLESS!
And then we went out to this little family's new home! It is so special when a location holds an importance to the family!
And of course we had to throw the train! Dresses by Sew Trendy Accessories!
Then we finished the night chasing (literally) the sun! Watch for a little peek of this dress in baby girl's newborn session!
I am so excited to work with this family over the next year! I think we will capture some amazing things!
