This Is Kind of a Big Deal

So who doesn't like a really big announcement on a Tuesday afternoon?

As most of you know, early this year we added another beautiful baby girl to our family, completing our family of 5!  We have been incredibly blessed with three healthy, happy and wild girls (especially that middle one!)  I want to be able to spend as much time with my girls (and my husband) as I can and in doing that, sometimes that means slowing things down a little.

Wedding photography; probably one of the most stressful, exhilarating and time-consuming jobs out there.  Besides being a doctor.  They also deserve that title.

There is SO much that goes into photographing a wedding.  Especially if you're good at it.  I have never been a photographer to book a wedding and just show up that day and shoot.  I devote hours upon hours before and after a wedding to be sure my clients are in love with their wedding day gallery.

By devoting so much time to my clients, I was missing a lot at home.

In 2017, I met Jennifer.  Early in the year I volunteered my second photographer services for a few of her weddings.  After our first wedding worked together, she got this hair-brained idea and proposed it to me: She was looking to expand her wedding services and was looking to add an Associate Wedding Photographer to her team.

At first I was a little shocked.  Jennifer has been a professional in the wedding photography industry for over 10 years and she thought my work was good enough to offer to her clients?  No way.  And does she know how sassy I am?

A few months later we worked another wedding together and we talked more about the opportunity for both of us.  The more I thought about it, the more excited I was.

As of this new year, I have decided to join Jennifer's team at Jennifer Weinman Photography in Grinnell, Iowa as an Associate Photographer.

What this means for my current wedding clients: Absolutely nothing will change for you!  You will still receive the same service you should expect from me!

What this means for future wedding clients: For the foreseeable future, I will be referring all wedding inquiries to Jennifer Weinman Photography.

What this means for Jennifer Weinman Photography: JWP will now be able to extend packages and dates to clients to offer a wider variety of services for different price points.

What this means for me: More time to focus on my family.

Through my services with JWP, I will run some interference with couples to schedule their engagement session and wedding details, but all background work (editing) will be done through JWP.  I will be the main photographer (on selected packages) for their engagement session and wedding day.

I am really excited for this opportunity to work with Jennifer and be a part of her team!
